The Word is Out!

For some time I’ve wanted to write a book but I couldn’t quite get myself started despite having written the book many times over in my head.

Then an opportunity came along for me to write a chapter in a book alongside 14 other women. It felt right because these women are passionate and purpose-led beauties from Sister Snog an award-winning business club connecting remarkable women. What could go wrong?!

The book is now written and is about to be published. In the coming weeks I will share more about our journey, accomplishments and of course the pre-launch date for you to bag a copy!

Why collaborate?

Well ‘collaboration’ is one of THE words for me this year. It kicks ‘competition’ into the long grass. Instead it brings out community.

True entrepreneural spirit is working together.

Yes competition can be healthy but collaboration digs far deeper as you will read.

That old African proverb is true. “If you want to go fast go alone. If you want to far, go together.”

Why have one author when you can have many all answering the same question and sharing our stories further and wider. Genius!

Challenges

15 strong and passionate women. All with different ideas, colour, font, graphic preferences and so on. Also, some had already published their own books. Others, like me, were new to this.

Ultimately what binds us together is a shared purpose. We want to meet people where they are at in their businesses and inspire them to reach unimaginable heights through understanding collaboration.

Standing ovation for Mindy Gibbins-Klein The Book Midwife who brought us together to create this amazing multi-authored book.

Massive thank you also to my amazing co-authors. I feel humbled and blessed.

Lorraine Thomas

I’m a big believer in doing what I can to help lift others. On a mission to be a positive role model for young black people, I’m showing them what can be achieved if you are determined. Starting out I had zero property experience, didn’t come from a wealthy background, or have connections. Yet now I’m an award-winning property entrepreneur with a portfolio of properties and an ambitious development just round the corner from my old school in Croydon – and I couldn’t be prouder.
